Darling in the Franxx, Made In Abyss, and more!!

Upcoming Posts

Here it is. My first post. Some of my friends and family have known about this for some time now, and it’s finally happening, one step at a time.

My about me section currently says that I have a degree in Electrical Engineering. As of this moment, that’s not completely true; I’ll be graduating with that degree approximately a month from now. Until then, I am limited in what I can do. I’m unable to watch as much anime as I would like. In fact, there is probably something I should be working on right now instead of writing this post. But hey, I like to live dangerously.

Okay, so coming up, I am going to drop some posts on Darling in the Franxx and Made In Abyss. As of this writing, I have seen the first two episodes of DitF, and I’ve seen the first ten episodes of MiA. I’ll be up front with you and say this; I am not difficult to please. I like to be entertained, and when an anime has some serious depth, I am all about jumping down the rabbit hole. But I’m also okay without that. It’s really hard to make me hate something… you really have to try, or it has to be seriously bad.

That being said, I have this to say about DitF and MiA. I love them both.

Darling in the Franxx, Made In Abyss

Made In Abyss has extravagant story telling, art, character development…everything. It is truly a masterpiece so far and the only thing I am really sad about it how long I may have to wait to watch season 2. Have you read the manga? If so, let me know in the comments, because I’m thinking about picking it up in the meantime.

Darling in the Franxx… how do I say this? After the first episode, I was skeptical. I was entertained and intrigued by what I saw with plot potential, but I was also on edge because I saw the potential for the show to be a very shallow fan-service type disappointment. Don’t get me wrong, I can enjoy fan service as much as anyone else, but you won’t catch me raving about it or writing about it. After I watched the second episode, my concern was alleviated. As of now, I have high expectations for where this show is heading, and I’m excited to see more of it.

Guys, thanks for reading my first post. I’m looking forward to covering these two shows more coming up soon, and I’ve got a lot more where that came from. I’m currently working on content for my first YouTube video, which will be covering the plot and timeline of the movie 君の名は (Kimi no Nawa), “Your Name” in English. If you haven’t seen that movie, you’d better get to it.

If you’ve seen Darling in the Franxx or Made In Abyss, let me know what you think in the comments!
